11/21/2023 0 Comments Steam subnautica vrTools are also annoying to apply to the toolbar in VR. Like the bubbles supposed to come from your mouth appears 10m away in deph perception and not infront of your face. And some stuff with deph perception makes it seem off. Especially since some GFX effects like the new reflection and similar doesnt work. And they stil havent fixed much about the VR version in the past months. For the first time VR was awesome in this game but Ive realised how troublesome it is now. VR in this game makes me tired right now compared to last time I tried it. But in VR it seems to be infront of your face instead of being bellow it like in non VR. It makes resource hunting around the base and the cyclops fun and fast. Its a tool I use more than ever due to its now low power usage and improved speed. Doing this each time I play is troublesome.ħ - Seaglide is stil horrible to use in VR. I need to move a chair to the center of my playing area and sit there with my Xbox controller. I want to experience them bug free.Ħ - I cant use my oculus touch. Something that is not easy in VR even with oculus dash as oculus dash stil has its bugs as well.Ĥ - Some graphical effects are appearently disabled while in VR making the game look a little bit more like before the gfx update.ĥ - Some cinamatics broke. but now on release there are some other glaring VR issues.ġ - Cyclops teleports or glitches heavily when you enter it with a vehicle in its inbuilt vehicle bay.Ģ - As VR is common for me now I dont have enough patience and motivation to survive through horrible performance anymore like I did in the first VR playthrough.ģ - I like to multitask while playing this game appearently. More fps is really really handy here.Right now I actually stopped playing it in VR. Don't be afraid to play on the low graphics settings if you feel like things are stuttering a bt.I play via virtual desktop and use an Xbox one controller when I play it in vr personally. It looks just stunning, but some menus are too close to your face and the controls arent great in vr. They never fully supported it so some things just dont work properly in vr. Did you read the bit about f2? It resets the camera position. Subnautica is an amazing game, but the Vr implementation was half assed.Understanding the button/keyboard layout before you start in VR can be very helpful because you won't be able to see the controller or keyboard.Finding a keyboard after you turn can be harder than you expect. If you are doing that a wireless controller will help out immensely.Playing from a swivel chair to allow you to turn 360 degrees can make you less nauseous when compared to turning using the mouse or controller. If things make you feel cross eyed adjust the Interpupillary Distance ( Vive [| Rift [.Text should be reasonably sharp, the HMD may be in the wrong position if things are blurry. There should not be any wiggle as you move your head around,.Ensure that the HMD is fitted correctly. This is where I tell you how to not be nauseous for days on end. When the player loses control of their eyes it causes badness in a serious way for a whole bunch of folks. When you open a hatch it may simply pop open. When you climb a ladder in VR you simply teleport to the top. Finally, it is worth noting that the game will play fewer animations. To check what controllers you have active in windows you can go to: Control Panel -> Devices and Printers Note that things like motioninjoy will install a virtual controller. If you want to use a keyboard turn them off or unplug them.
